My Design Process

double diamond approach

I like to use the “double diamond” approach whenever I am working on a new project, feature, or improvement. The idea is that I essentially open my mind to learning by conducting user interviews, observing users, and gaining as much knowledge about the problem as possible. Then, I will condense my findings and identify patterns. To be continued, WIP

Registration Page Redesign

Web app — user experience, user research, user testing, & design

overview

Prior to kicking off the entire Songtrust experience redesign, I first had to redesign the current registration page design to improve the flow and update the look to be in accordance with the new Songtrust design system. This was rather straight-forward, yet resulted in nearly double the conversion rate.

Note: this is an interim solution until the new onboarding flow rolls out.

previous design

The previous design was dated and confusing. Users were often not clear with the flow of the page, and didn’t like that there was not a clear message that their payment was being submitted.

updated design

The new design has been updated so that it is easier for the eye to follow along, as well as updating the design to our new design system.

Nike—Assist

iOS app — user experience, user research, user testing, & prototyping

overview

The Assist app connects Nike employees and in-store consumers with Nike products. It’s primary use is to search for products and inform whether or not the product is in stock in their current store, online, or in a store nearby. In-store employees also use Assist as a mobile point-of-sale, allowing customers to skip long lines at checkout.
